Is Persever8 Right for You?

Are you:

  • A young adult on the autism spectrum?

  • A college student or college graduate who is not able to find a job in your field of study?

  • Someone who likes a challenge and is willing to work hard towards a goal?

  • A person who is interested in technology, wants to learn more life skills and how to work well with others?

  • Someone who is aware of their challenges and willing to work to overcome them?

  • A young adult who is curious about their thinking and learning style and willing to explore with others to better understand themselves?

  • A person who wants to work towards living an independent life?

  • Someone who is willing to agree to Persever8’s code of conduct?

  • A person who understands that in life, in jobs, we need to be able to work with others, and is willing to learn how to work in groups towards a mutual goal.

  • A young adult who wants to become a meaningful member of society, and understands that adults work every day and often have to do what other’s tell them to do.

If you have answered “yes” to most of these items, then Persever8 might be a good fit for you.  Becoming an adult can be a frightening experience.  Persever8 recognizes that high school and even college doesn’t usually prepare a young person on the autism spectrum for adult life.  The world is a tricky place.  To be successful in the world, it is important to “know what you don’t know”.  The challenges of autism make it difficult to understand that there are many things you need to learn to have a successful launch into adulthood.  Persever8 can help you understand what these “unwritten rules” are and equip you with the skills you need to move towards independent life.

It won’t be easy.  There is a lot of work to be done.  Persever8’s program is full time.  This means every day, all day.  And there is homework.  This means not a lot of free time during the week for playing video games, searching the internet, watching television.   But at the end of the program, you will be well on your way to a fulfilling, successful life.
